Inspired by time spent in the Peak District under unsettled skies, this mixed media painting explores the relationship between land, weather, and voice. Muted purple and softened earth tones are threaded with bronze and gold hues, recalling ferns flattened by wind and light briefly catching on wet ground before fading again.
Built through layered watercolour, ink and mixed media, the surface holds a sense of movement and tension: marks that suggest shifting air, eroded stone, and the invisible paths sound travels across open land.
