Original abstract landscape painting by Carolyn J Roberts
Where the wind leaves its mark on the land.
The landscape is never quite still. Even on the quietest day, the wind moves across the hills, stirring grasses, shifting clouds and leaving its presence in the smallest details. Wind Whispers explores that subtle movement, capturing an impression of the land shaped by air, weather and passing moments.
Layers of watercolour, acrylic ink, pencil and collage create a surface rich in texture and expressive marks. Soft shifts in tone and more definite gestures suggest movement across the landscape, allowing the painting to evoke a sense of place without becoming a literal depiction.
A small original painting with a quiet, lyrical quality, Wind Whispers reflects the fleeting details of the landscape that might otherwise go unnoticed..
