Original artwork by Carolyn J Roberts
Small, intimate abstract painting — a jewel-like study of movement, air, and seasonal change.
Hints of land and sky drift across the surface, their boundaries softened and unsettled. Layers of acrylic are swept and drawn across the paper, creating a sense of motion — as though the painting itself has been shaped by a passing breeze. There is a lightness here, but also depth: traces of warmer autumnal tones held beneath cooler, shifting hues.
Rather than describing a place, Autumn Breeze captures a feeling — the way air moves across open ground, the fleeting moment when light changes and the landscape seems to breathe. Gestural marks and layered passages suggest horizons forming and dissolving, inviting the eye to wander and return, again and again.
A small, contemplative work that rewards close looking — quiet in scale, yet rich with movement and atmosphere.
