Ask Why The Sea Sings

£450.00

Framed, semi-abstract seascape painting by Carolyn J Roberts

There’s something about sitting on the shingle, listening to the sound of the sea ‘singing’, the waves sweeping onto the shoreline, that backwash swoosh of the pebbles… There’s something about watching the incoming and outgoing tides; washing the tracks and traces of life back into the sea. Life that is often unseen, stories often untold…which, if we asked, perhaps the sea would tell us…

This original, atmospheric, expressive painting in shades of blue, grey & sepia, captures the big skies and the myriad of creeks and inlets, criss-crossed with tracks, evidence of both the wildlife, and the lives of man; delicate details and expressive washes…
