The sea rolls in, the sea rolls out. Seaweed and shells, mix with the flotsam and jetsam on the shingle. The footprints in the mud, become submerged before being washed away: physical evidence of lives lived. But there are memories carried on the water and in the air too; stories of our time spent in the landscape. The sound of our laughter, the barking dog, the clinking of the anchor chains and rigging, time spent playing and walking along the shoreline. We cherish these memories, and carry them with us…but we also leave our history to float forever on the tides…
