Lincolnshire: a land of big skies and far-reaching fields, where my childhood unfolded in open spaces and shifting light. I remember running and riding freely across the farmlands, the earth warm beneath my feet, the air filled with birdsong carried effortlessly on the wind. Those summers felt never-ending — long days stitched together by sunshine and freedom — until, inevitably, the skies began to roll and deepen, signalling the quiet turn toward autumn. The land changed tone, the breeze sharpened, and a sense of gathering-in swept across the fields.
